My cousin (7 yrs old) made the following beautiful beadworks.





The following beadwork belongs to the Frieze group that consists of a translation and a glide-reflection symmetry.

One more P surface

Sp3 carbons (one more example)

Here is one more beaded structure defined by the same net similar to that in the previous post except that we use compounded bonds (three beads for a single bond).

triple-stranded helix

This beautiful triple-stranded helically-coiled CNT was made by Chuang last year. We have trouble to fix the relative position among these three strands. That is why I did post the scan for this object. It is apparent from the following scan the spaces between them are still different.

sp3 carbons

It is possible to build beaded molecules with sp3 carbons too. Here is an example chuang made some times ago.
